A move corresponds to leaving one home for another place of residence.

  • When moving, your DIGI products are simply transferred from your old address to your new address.

The installation is the setup of your DIGI equipment at your home by one of our technicians. When subscribing, one of our advisors will call you to determine what work is necessary.

A subscription transfer, also called a "cession", is the transfer of an existing DIGI subscription (internet, TV, landline, mobile phone) to another person under a different name. A subscription transfer is possible in the case of:

  • Death
  • Divorce
  • Company takeover
  • Transfer between residents of the same address (family members)

Both the new subscriber and the current subscriber must agree to the transfer. The new subscriber agrees to take over all services and any potential debts of the current subscriber.

I am moving: what happens to my DIGI subscription?

Here are the necessary steps to ensure everything goes perfectly well!

  • Check that the DIGI service is available at your address by performing this eligibility test.
  • Is it covered? Great! Now you just need to start the necessary steps for your address change.
  • The closing date for your products at your current address and the desired service start date at your new address are chosen by you. Don't forget to specify them in the moving form.
  • We recommend informing us of the move at least 3 weeks before the planned date.

When and how to inform us of your move?

In order to provide you with quality service, we recommend informing us of the move at least 3 weeks before the planned date. Contact us via the online form.
To properly prepare your request, gather some essential information and questions:

  • Your customer number
  • The exact address of your new home (street, street number, postal code, municipality, and locality)
  • Your moving date
  • The first and last name of the previous tenant at your new address.

A DIGI advisor will handle your request and arrange an appointment with you to activate your products at your new address.

How to prepare for the installation when moving?

  • If you live in an apartment building, your name must be on the doorbell and you must have access to technical areas and the electrical meter (garage, basement, laundry room, etc.).
  • Ensure easy access to the TV outlets (our technicians will not move furniture). Make sure your power outlets (220V) are accessible and available.
  • If you have a device you want to connect to WiFi, make sure it is available and charged for the appointment. Our installer will help you connect it.
  • If you cannot be there personally, a responsible adult can replace you.
  • On the day of your appointment, you will be notified of the installer's arrival by SMS or call on your mobile. This message is informative; you must be present at home during the scheduled appointment time.
